Preview; Why Arsenal will sail past Crystal Palace in London Derby

ARSENAL 2-1 CRYSTAL PALACE

Mikel Arteta’s men Arsenal take on former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Viera side Crystal Palace on a tough London derby.

Prior to the International break, the Gunners were on a three-match winning streak before they were then held to a goalless draw away at Brighton & Hove Albion. However, that performance will have little or no impact in tonight’s clash considering their form.

The gunners have only conceded one goal in their last four premier league outings, the best in the league so far.

On the other side, Viera side has had mixed results so far despite showing immense promise in their play style. Palace only have a solitary win to show for their cause.

They suffered two losses to Chelsea and Liverpool while securing impressive draws with Brighton, Brentford, West Ham United and Leicester. It’s how those draws transpired that impresses Palace fans the most.

There is optimism about getting a positive result at the Emirates, as Vieira will be hoping to exploit the Gunners’ weaknesses. A win will certainly highlight the progress made under Vieira, while a loss would bring them back to the drawing board for further assessment.

With Aubameyang returning back to the starting line-up, the unsettlement in Palace defence will make it easy for Arsenal to win tonight.
