ODM party leader Raila Odinga is set to fly out of the country to the United Arabs Emirates for a personal trip and holiday.
The former prime Minister details were confirmed by ODM chairman John Mbadi who did not disclose the details of the trip.
However, sources within the Orange party have said that Raila’s visit is private. “He is going to Dubai, he is going for one week,” Mbadi said on phone.
This is the second time in four months the ODM leader is flying to Dubai. In July this year, the former Prime Minister flew to the United Arab Emirates city on a trip that was linked to resource mobilization ahead of his 2022 presidential campaigns.
His office, however, denied the campaign fundraising claim. Accompanying him for the July trip was Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, a suave businessman and undisputed Raila’s Mr Fix It and top adviser.
Raila’s trip comes on the backdrop of heightened political activities with his political rival Deputy President William Ruto holding huge rallies and political consultative meetings at his Karen residence.
